14 Tips to Go With, The Day You Enter Your College Gates

When you get into a college, a whole new World starts in front of you. So here I am to give you tips that you should go with, as you hit college. 14 tips you should work upon:

1. Friends: As we join a college, there is an excitement, a zeal to discover new friends. Let me tell you as you hit the college, do make new friends, its good to have friends, but dont start on trusting on them too much that on the very third day you would be best friends. Yah, Best Friends! Do you even know what those two little words mean, it cannot be some random person you just met three days ago. Let me tell you, what happened with me, I made tons of friends on my first day, and the experience was amazing, but on the very third day, during the random talks, the girl said, " Muskan, you are my best friend", And seriously the reaction in my brain was like whhhaaaaattt? Are you insane? Best Friends? Do I even know you? And while thinking all this, I was completely silent and a girl sitting in front of me totally got me and started laughing, it was the monster laugh (bwahahah)! And moreover let me tell you one more short story of mine, on my first day itself, when I made a bunch of friends, we were in total 10 girls sitting in two rows, when a girl said, "now we are gonna be together for the next three years, so lets share our secrets, tell me who have a boyfriend? and what are your stories?" And again long pause and side by side in my brain, " what the crap is going on in here?" and to be honest, I still know those girls but we are not in the same group now, so you see this is what happens. Never share your secrets until unless the person is worth trusting for. I didnt uttered a single word at that time, and I feel so blessed for myself. And its not that all people are like that, right now my squad is a hot mess, my people are filled up with excitement, stories, upset, madness, happiness, they are my life savers of the college hours. So, dont just rely on the person you just met, give it some time, cause maybe that person is with you in your first year and maybe not in the third year. Or maybe the girl you would be thinking of as a bitch or the guy you would be thinking as fake would end up being your best friends. So, dont be an open book on the very first page. Go with a flow, let the life turn the pages, according to the situations.
2. Teachers: The second thing you think upon is regarding teachers! Who will be our teacher? Will he or she be khadoos, kanjus, nice, pretty, handsome, sexy, hot, fat, slim, smokin body, etc.? I know what Im typing but its true, in each and every student this thought is being revolved around and at the end of the day, the student has summarized the teacher into there categories. Oh Boy! If we kids start using our brains towards studies instead of all of this, we can nail it in every subject - said every students parents. Now let me be clear in one point, every school student thinks that first impression in front of the teacher is equal to good marks. But in college, its true but only in few cases. A lecturer doesnt cares for if you are attending the class or not, she has a pen and she knows how to mark you absent and send your attendance. In this year, i.e. 2017 the rule of 75% has been stricken up, if you dont have it, you dont get to sit in the exams. In college life, a lecturer will try its best out to make you understand the subject in depth clearly. His or Her lectures are so strong that if you would really start listening to them carefully instead of dozing off in the middle of the class or using your cell phone under the desk you could score very well in exams.
3. Avoid fights: Well not even in college but all the time, try to avoid the fights. And to be honest dont be a bitch to someone. Back bitching is the worst quality a girl can have, and it aint good.
4. Bond with the CR: Now, as you are in college instead of the class monitor there is a class representative, in short CR. Make sure that you have a nice contact with him or her so that you could seal the deal. Cause the CR is the one who is opted by the whole class through voting system or by the lecturer, so he or she would be probably the one who could help you in any kind of a situation.
5. Seniors: Now we are talkin ! If you want to make a first impression in front of your lecturers do make the same for your seniors as they are ones who can help you a lot and be a lot more supportive when you are in need of. Plus when you come in a college, its not the same school trend, i.e. to call your seniors didi or bhaiya, no! Oh God, seriously Now way! In college you call them as sir and mam and give them respect. As from college, your Real World starts taking off.
6. Join some clubs : When you get into college, you find out that there are different types of clubs that you can get involved it, like the dancing club, the bhangra club, the rotaract club, etc.By participating in these clubs you get to know about whats going around and your links get more strong, And you become more of a Social person, the more you links have, the more jugaad can be done!
7. Fest and competitions: When you get into college, there are tons of fests in which you can be in. Like the dandiya night fest, etc... You should also participate in the fests that are happening in the outside world. And do participate in those little competitions that happens in every week or two.
8. Sports: College has loads of sports. You can join any. Participating in sports will help you gain physical fitness which these days kids are down in. As all they care about the WiFi, phones battery, etc. Totally neglecting their own health. So dont be like that, plus participating in the sports will get you a certificate and you never know if you could make a career in it.
9. Qualities: Maintain your self respect, dignity. Try to make a good image where ever you go and not just in college, as to you never know, "kab kaun kaha kaam ajaiye!"
10. Notes: In college life you dont have to make notebooks. yah! No tension. Its your wish if you want to write or not, but let me tell you dude, do make notes cause not every subject can be studied one night before the exams, and plus in each semester the whole damn book comes. And its not that easy to complete the whole book on your own just one night before the exam. So do make notes, As through them, you would be clear with the concepts, in touch with what you studied and could memorize with the help of them.
11. Lectures: Mostly students go to attend the lectures is for the sake of attendance, but dude let me tell you every lecture delivered through your lecturers are so strong, that you could crack your semester exams without even studying. A lecturer puts her or his 100% and teaches with a zeal so that every student could nail in the exam.
12. Positive attitude: One should have a positive attitude, especially in your college life. Cause you meet tons of people in college and realize that everyone has a different mindset, and everyone has a different kind of mood due to which, if some day somebody says you something irrelevant you should stay calm and be positive doesnt face him or her at that very time and maybe try to sort it out later, instead of creating a scene in the public.
13. Notice Board: This aint school, for every notice, announcements doesnt happen matey! Or that, circulars dont get distributed. Then how to get information regarding whats going around in the college? Simple, every college has a board called the notice board. Never ignore it, I repeat Never! Cause all the notices are posted on it regarding the college feed. If you neglect it, anyone can pinpoint you or fire back you like, "dude dont you check the notice board".
14. Attendance: This year, the rule of 75% attendance has been stricken up so badly, that they dont let you sit in your semester exams if you dont have 75% attendance, and 75% attendance is like only 5 holidays allowed to take in a month, plus if the lecturer is absent then no attendance, and if you have a shortage in your attendance then there is a fine fee then you need to pay or else you are going down matey! i.e. you wont be able actually the college wont let you give the exams.
