Courses to Do Alongside BCA

BCA or Bachelors in Computer Application is a 3-year professional degree course. It teaches students computer-centric subjects like developing a code, software designing, MS Office and some computer and programming languages like Java and C/C++. Many students, however, also chose to pursue additional courses along with BCA to improve their knowledge and also to better their prospects for suitable employment. There a number of technical and non-technical courses that one can pursue along with BCA. These courses also help the student if he decides to further his education and pursue MCA. Some of the technical courses include: Asp DOT net: direct counterparts of JAVA, these are popular languages and are used for lightweight application development on both client and server side. This is relatively easy to master compared to JAVA.   JAVA J2EEE: used by many banks, both within and outside India to implement their web applications. It is the most secure language option and most server-side software development is done through this. ORACLE/ Mysql/DB2/DBA: One of the most reliable course options to pursue especially if the student is interested in DBMS. CCNA/MCSE- A reliable career option where one can be employed as a network engineer based on these network certifications. After CCNA, one may opt for CCNP for further credentials. Other important course options in computer languages and software programming include: C SHARP UNIX VISUAL BASICS. IBM MAINFRAME SQT IBM LOTUS Students can also opt to go for a diploma in IT. They can do full or part-time training in IT institutes. Another popular course that students can opt for is a Web Design course.
