6 Ways to Make an Effective Resume to Get the offer Letter

Let’s figure out. What is a Resume? A Resume is a brief summary of personal, educational, professional experience and achievements used for job applications. What is a CV? A Curriculum Vitae is a detailed summary of educational, professional, experience used for job applications. Difference between Resume and CV: The main difference between CV and Resume is of the length and the amount of detail provided by the candidate. A good Resume consists of a maximum of two pages but a good CV consists of more than two pages. A Resume is used when a candidate is applying for private sector whereas CV is required when applying for public sector especially for an academic post. Have a look at the format of the two: Before you start building your resume, keep a few things in your mind. Choose a word processor It matters a lot in making your resume. Till the time you are not aware of yourself, it becomes very difficult to clear any interview. So, it’s better to sit in a quiet place and know your strength and weakness. Mend your strength and weakness as per the work profile of the company. Never be straightforward toward your weakness and make considerable effort to overcome it. 2. Compile all personal and educational information Collect all your personal and academic qualification to avoid last minute rush. Arrange them in a chronological order as per the company demands. If it is not mentioned then it’s always better to write in a decreasing order. Along with academic qualifications, you should keep your course certification and achievements in various fields. 3. Write Your Resume After you have compiled all the information, then start writing a resume with a clear-headed mind. Follow a sequence in writing all the details. It is always advisable to write as per the company’s requirement but still if it’s not mentioned then you can prefer the format as given below: Resume heading Full Name: (With mail ID)(Mobile number) Street Address: (Present address +pin code) City: State: This part is your personal information section. But choose only which you like as you can be asked by the manager for justification.
