Workshop on Youth Empowerment@SMS-Varanasi
School of Management Sciences in association with Varanasi Management Association and Panchganga Foundation organized a workshop on Youth Empowerment 7th April 2016. Chief Guest Shri Indresh Ji (Member, All India Executive Council- Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) during his deliberation highlighted the importance of Youth in the development of the nation. He stressed on inculcation of Patriotism, Socialization, and Cultural values in the youth for their overall development. He said that youth is having required traits to face any troublesome situation; a right direction to their efforts can do miracle and make our country a superpower. Advising the youth on prevailing threats he said that the accelerated development phase of India has created serious concerns to some nations and they are trying to ruin the cultural heritage of India. One has to be very vigil in these aspects. He also discussed the contemporary issues of anti-national movements in some colleges and universities of India. Addressing the youth the distinguished guest Dr. Hemant Gupta (Founder Director-Panchganga Foundation and MD of Samvedna Hospitals Pvt. Ltd.) said that Indian youth is spread across the globe and is contributing in each and every area of global development. Focusing on the skilled youth population of India, he asked a very important question to the students that despite of having such huge talent pool why our India is still behind of few developed nations. He considered this issue as vulnerable point against the development of nation and asked student to think on it. In his deliberation another distinguished guest Dr. Rajeev Srivastava (Professor-History and Social Science Department- BHU & Founder of Anaaj Bank) stressed on inculcation of emotions and patriotism in the professional studies and gave a slogan of Career with Emotions Earlier in the programme Prof. S.K. Singh (President, Varanasi Management Association) extended a very warm welcome to the guests and said that youth is having bubbling enthusiasm which has to be regulated and utilized the right way. This can surely ensure rapid national development. After all, all the people can only exercise their full potential when they are young and energetic. Youth is that period in which revolutionary thoughts spring to mind and these thoughts shape the world we live in. Focusing on the importance of Youth Empowerment Prof.P.N Jha (Director, SMS-Varanasi) considered the youth as social actors of change and progress and said that they are having various challenges in front of them. Tactfully they have to convert these challenges in to the opportunities and give their best in the development of the nation. Programme was coordinated by Mr. Ashish Tiwari, Assistant Professor, SMS Varanasi and Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Raj Kumar Singh, Professor, SMS Varanasi. Present on the occasion were Dr. M.P.
