Training Workshop on Women Empowerment at NTPC Kahalgaon
A two day workshop on Women Empowerment was conducted by Mr. Navin Kumar, Asst. Professor & Manager (Training and Consultancy) SMS Varanasi on September 8 & 9, 2014 for the women employees of NTPC at Kahalgaon Super Thermal Power Plant.
The 2 day workshop was conducted to create awareness about the present situation of women empowerment in India, womens rights as per the Indian Constitution, traits of women leadership and its comparative analysis with that of male leadership, women empowerment in the Indian corporate sector, and property rights to which the Indian women are entitled
The participants sought solutions to address issues and problems of gender bias which they are facing at workplace, deliberated on areas in which all the participants amongst themselves could further enhance cooperation within NTPC, and also discussed ways to further enhance their style of working which would help them in making a mark in their respective departments.
The workshop was attended both by women executives and non-executives.
