On behalf of the Department of Mass Communication, SMS, Varanasi, an academic visit to Doordarshan Kendra Varanasi was organized for the students of the second semester on 18th May. During this, the students learned the nuances of analog and digital broadcasting at Doordarshan Kendra located at Nadesar. Engineer Vikas Maurya apprised the students about the techniques of satellite broadcasting. Students showed great enthusiasm in visiting various departments including Studio, Broadcasting Van, Transmitter, Editing Room, Production Command Room of Doordarshan Kendra. Along with the students of Mass Communication II Semester, Assistant Professors Dr. Gaurav Shah and Ishaan Tripathi of the department were also present in this visit.
