Industrial Cum Excursion Tour of BCOM(2024)
Students of B.COM 5th Semester alongwith Dr. Chandra Shekhar Singh ( Course Coordinator) and Dr. Anju Singh ( Course Co-Coordinator) visited Micro Turner Industries, Baddi ,Himachal Pradesh where they had an interaction with HR Head _ Sandeep Fogat, HR executive Suresh Thakur, HR Executive Mahak Thakur, , Administrative Head - Jaspreet Kaur, Executive Rakesh Kumar who shared insights of the industry with the students.
HR Executive Mahak Thakur Informed students that the company was started in 1973 and has 13 branches all over India. In Chandigarh itself they have three branches operational. The industry is a running its business as HUF business. She even informed students about the hiring procedure in their industry which is done on a centralised basis.
Production Manager - Ram Prakash Giri informed students that micro Turner produces spare parts for Two wheelers and automobiles of TVS, Bajaj, Ninka, Kawasaki companies. He also explained the whole production process adopted to produce spares part at the industry.
Students gained great insights during industrial visit. Visit to Rock garden Chandigarh After industrial visit student visited Rock Garden where students gained insights of best utilisation of waste material as this garden has been created by waste material.
Waste material collection was started in 1957. In 1976 this garden was made open for public. This garden is spread in 40 acres of land out of which 30 acres is the total constructed area. The idea of construction of such garden was conceived by late Shri Leck Chand Saini who was awarded with Padma Shree award 1984 and now it is managed and controlled by his son Anuj Saini.
