Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) is a 3-year professional degree course that is taken by students interested in learning computer languages and software. In this course, they are taught computer languages like JAVA and C++ along with other things like coding and web designing.
Options for BCA graduates
BCA is a lucrative course and many IT companies place BCA graduates at the level of B.Tech graduates. Therefore, BCA graduates have a lot of options after completing their courses.
Some of the options are:
- Fresh BCA graduates can always try their hand at the job market. If they have supplemented their BCA degree with other courses of coding, computer language, and maybe even animation and multimedia design, then they have a very good chance of getting employed in the service sector companies like WIPRO, TCS, and Cognizant. If they have a firm grasp on the knowledge of coding and related algorithms then they might even get employed by product service companies.
- It is always recommended that BCA graduates continue their education. They are advised to pursue MCA (Masters of Computer Application). This will increase their knowledge tenfold. They will also gather more experience during their course of study. This postgraduate course teaches students how to meet the complex demands of the IT industry by emphasizing on the designing and programming of complex commercial application software, along with business management.

He can find jobs in the positions of IT Financial Management, IT Service Management, IT Configuration Management, Sourcing, IT Directors, and Managers. Students can specialize in Marketing, Finance, or Operations during their MBA course.

- Information Security Management (ISM), which teaches policy, evaluation, risk management, and security technology
- Post Graduate Program in Corporate Studies (PGPCS), which teaches management studies
- Masters Degree in Information Management (MIM), which teaches the student how to lead the IT department in any company or organization
