“Data Mastery: Excel & Tableau for Powerful Analytics” BBA VIth Semester (Batch 2022-2025)
The School of Management Sciences (SMS) Varanasi recently organized an insightful 30 hours Value Added Course, “Data Mastery: Excel & Tableau for Powerful Analytics” for BBA VIth semester students of Batch 2022-2025 from 11th to 15th April, 2025.
The sessions were conducted by Mr. Ashish Kumar from SEG Academy Varanasi who covered essential tools like Excel and Tableau, to empower the students with the skills required to analyse & visualize data effectively and derive meaningful insights for making informed decisions.
The five-day course equipped the students with the essential skills, providing valuable hands-on experience on Microsoft Excel & Tableau, bridging the academic learning with practical application. The objective of the Value-added Course was to boost employability, and foster analytical thinking—"preparing students for data-driven roles in todays competitive business environment”.

Earlier in the sessions, Mr. Veeresh Tripathi, BBA-Course Coordinator welcomed the seasoned trainer, Mr. Ashish Kumar from SEG Academy Varanasi. Mr. Tripathi further sensitized the students towards the need for exposure to tools like excel & tableau for data visualization & analysis which in huge demand and mandatory skills for employability of management graduates.
