Guest Lecture on Union Budget 2026 @ SMS varanasi

The School of Management Sciences, Varanasi successfully hosted an insightful Guest Lecture on “Union Budget 2026 – Decoding the Viksit Bharat @2047 Roadmap”, offering a comprehensive understanding of Indias growth–development trajectory.

The session was enriched by Professor Anup Kumar Mishra, Head, Department of Economics, DAV PG College, Banaras Hindu University who thoughtfully decoded the Union Budget 2026–27 by linking fiscal policy with long-term nation building.

Dr. Mishra elaborated on the distinction between growth and development, emphasizing that while growth measures output, true development enhances human welfare, quality of life, and social equity.

The lecture highlighted how the Union Budget serves as a powerful instrument to ensure balanced economic growth, efficient resource allocation, reduction of inequality, and human capital formation.
