BBA Orientation Programme 2026 SMS Varanasi
The School of Management Sciences (SMS), Varanasi, inaugurated the BBA Orientation Programme for the academic session 2026 with a grand opening session. The programme created an enthusiastic and engaging environment for the newly admitted students as they embarked on their academic journey.
Welcoming the new students, Prof. P. N. Jha, Director, SMS Varanasi, said that BBA is not limited to the study of management but is an important platform for preparing students to meet the evolving requirements of the industry. He encouraged students to complement classroom learning with practical exposure, an understanding of emerging technologies, and awareness of changing industry trends.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Rishikesh Kaushik, Managing Director and CEO, Moon Insurance Brokers Pvt. Ltd., Noida, emphasized that discipline, continuous learning, and staying updated with changing technologies are the keys to success. He described the BBA programme as an important platform for developing managerial, leadership, and professional skills.
Highlighting the growing impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Mr. Kaushik cautioned the students, saying, “AI will not take your job, but someone who knows how to use AI better certainly will.” He urged students to view technology not as a challenge but as an opportunity to enhance their knowledge, skills, and professional capabilities.
Mr. Kaushik also encouraged students to develop the habit of regular study, effective time management, discipline, and continuous learning of new technologies. He said that today’s students will become tomorrow’s entrepreneurs, managers, and leaders, and therefore they must focus equally on developing practical and technological skills along with academic knowledge.
On the occasion, Associate Professor Veeresh Tripathi presented the institutional introduction. Prof. Sandeep Singh, Head, Department of Management and Mass Communication, presented an overview of the BBA curriculum and academic structure.
The BBA Orientation Programme was conducted by Dr. Sofia Khan, while Dr. Rohit Mehta, BBA Coordinator, delivered the vote of thanks.
The event was attended by Executive Secretary Dr. M. P. Singh, Registrar Mr. Sanjay Gupta, Dr. Khushboo Kumar, Dr. Tejas Yaduvanshi, Dr. Anjani Kumar Rai, Co-Coordinator-BBA, along with all faculty members of the institution.
