Spoken Tutorial Skill Accelerator Lab Inaugurated at SMS Varanasi
The School of Management Sciences (SMS), Varanasi, inaugurated the Spoken Tutorial Skill Accelerator Lab, powered by EduPyramids and SINE–IIT Bombay, on August 22, 2026. The initiative is aimed at strengthening digital skill development and enhancing the employability and technological competencies of students.
The lab was inaugurated by Mrs. Akanksha Saini, National Coordinator – Spoken Tutorial, IIT Bombay and Senior Associate Vice President, EduPyramids (SINE–IIT Bombay).
The Skill Accelerator Lab has been established to provide students with access to industry-relevant digital skills, hands-on learning opportunities and self-paced education through the Spoken Tutorial ecosystem. The platform enables learners to develop practical technological competencies alongside their regular academic programmes, thereby preparing them to meet the evolving requirements of industry and the workplace.
The initiative also seeks to promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation and technology-enabled education among students. Similar Skill Accelerator Labs are being established to facilitate structured and scalable skill development and to expand access to practical digital learning opportunities.
The establishment of the lab is part of SMS Varanasi's continuing efforts to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements. By providing students with opportunities to acquire practical and future-ready skills, the institution aims to enhance their digital proficiency, employability and overall professional preparedness.
