The lecture series concluded in School of Management Sciences (SMS) on 18th December 2012. In the programme intellectuals from abroad enlightened the students on different aspects of management. The key speakers in the lecture series were Prof. Tarun Gupta from Western Michigan University, USA and Prof. Subramaniam Ganesan from Oakland University, USA. Speaking on the occasion Prof. Tarun Gupta commented on the role of Technology in imparting quality education to students. He further discussed the present level of stress the students are undergoing and the ways to mitigate such stress among students. Prof. Gupta emphasised that with the fast paced technology, the education system is also undergoing a fundamental change and hence to attain success in education faster adaptability to technology in academic delivery system is the key. In the other session Prof. Subramaniam Ganesan emphasised on the virtual and online educational system to be a part of the current educational pattern worldwide. He further said that with the faster growth of technology the pace of knowledge creation has also increased significantly. He emphasised on motivating students towards research and to devise online courses. Earlier welcoming the intellectuals and academic wizards in the inaugural function of the lecture series Prof. P. N. Jha, Director, SMS said that SMS is always committed towards conducting such academic discussions and these discourses provides value to the students. The well established authorities in the respective disciplines help the student to develop management insight and sharpen their business acumen. On the occasion Mr. Sandeep Singh and Dr. Sanjay Saxena (both Associate Professor) proposed the vote of thanks. Prof. P. N. Jha, Director, SMS, Mr. Sanjay Gupta, Registrar, SMS and faculty members were also present. The programme was anchored by Dr. Meenakshi A.
