Hi-Life Lecture series on Spirituality for Managers
A Hi-Life lecture series on Spirituality for Managers is being organized on 25th & 26th February, 2011 in campus of SMS Varanasi. All the Faculty and staff members along with PGDM & PGDM-IB second semester students participated in this activity. First day of lecture series started with the deliberations ofProf. Rajnish Shukla, Deptt. of Philosophy, Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi.He has discussed on the topic Spirituality and Human Resource Development: Man Making Process. With this topic, he has commented upon the importance of lessons of epics like Bhagwat Gita and applications of the same in our day to day human life. On the basis of plenty of examples he has explained the above mentioned specified principles. In the second day session,Dr. Sanat Kumar Sharma, Former Head, Deptt. Of Sociology, Gondar, Ethiopiainteracted with audience on topic Bhagwad Gita and Social Management. He has clarified the important concepts of Bhagwat Gita like Karma, Brahmin, Varna Vyavastha and Stithipragya Mahapurush. Thereafter he has explained the applications of these concepts in ordinary human life. In these two day interactive sessions both the speakers discussed the various dimensions of Spirituality and usage of the same in managers routine activities and decision making events. Both the sessions were coordinated by Mr. Amitabh Pandey, Senior Lecturer, SMS Varanasi.
