Industrial Visit to PARAG Dairy Varanasi for the Students of B.Com(H)-II
School of Management Sciences Varanasi, Department of Commerce organized an Industrial Visit to PARAG Dairy Cooperative Limited, Varanasi for the Students of B.Com Honours II Semester on 12.04.2023 and 13.04.2023. The team led by Mr. Suraj Prakash Singh, Assistant Professor, Dr. Shishir Gujrati, Assistant Professor, Dr. Sikha Agrawal, and Assistant Professor and managed all the activities on both the days for the students. Subhanwesha Mahapatra, Head- Human Resources & Admin, PARAG Dairy accompanied the whole visit for the students and explain the full details about the company, its history and its importance to dairy farmers and the state. Miss Tasneem and Mr. Satyajeet Pandey, Assistant HR added more information regarding the process of preparing the milk for ready to dispatch. The whole process starts from collection of milk from almost 320 centers and villages through insulated tankers and being unloaded for cleaning, Lab Testing which itself includes 3 process, then it’s being processed for different section of making butter, paneer, tonned milk etc. The exceptional thing of the plant is that it is being run in full automated manner with less number of workforces so as to maintain the hygiene and quality of milk. The students explore the whole production center and understood the total process being explained at each stage by Pandey Sir. In the end students appreciated the visit and gave their valuable feedback to the industries and they were being offered with Butter Milk as a token of love and appreciation.
