MBA Orientation Programme 2023 @SMS Varanasi

The new session (2023-2025) of the MBA course conducted at the School of Management Sciences began with a three-day orientation programme. Addressing the inaugural session of the program, Director of the Institute, Prof. P.N. Jha said that today in the changing global environment, rapid changes are taking place in the fields of education, management and technology, hence it is important for the students to keep themselves abreast of these changes. Referring to the highest standards set in management and technical education at SMS, Prof. Jha said that the institute has developed many resources to promote the practical knowledge of the students in the era of Education 4.0. On this occasion, he called upon the newcomer students that along with learning the qualities of management, they should also use these

qualities in the interest of the society. Head (Human Resources) of JK Organization, Mr. Prem Singh was present as the chief guest in the inaugural session. Addressing the incoming students, Shri Singh said that there has always been a demand for professionals in the field of management. But today, along with being professional, multitasking young professionals are being given preference by many big organizations across the world. He said that new advanced technology like AI has given a new dimension to management. With the help of AI, work like 3D printing, model generation, developing other applications can be done in a very short time. This method not only saves time but is also user friendly. He called upon the students to remain updated with new technology. 

Guest of Honor Mr. Himanshu Kumar, General Manager, Tata Consultancy Services appealed to the management students to lay emphasis on self management and said that a good administrator or leader can be made only by making management qualities an integral part of ones lifestyle. The other special guest, Mr. Sanjay Ramdas Kambekar, General Manager, Prism Johnson Ltd. emphasized on the importance of time in the field of management. He said that the CAMPUS: ability to take the right decision at the right time is one of the key qualities of management. Therefore, it is imperative for future management leaders to develop quick yet efficient decision making abilities. On this occasion, Mr. Ashwani Kumar, Managing Director and CEO, utkarsh core Invest Limited, as a special guest, gave the basic mantra of coordination of purposefulness, patience and enthusiasm to the future managers. He said that today India position in the global market competition is much stronger than other developed countries, because of purposeful demand and supply coordination. Another special guest of the orientation program, MI. Dev Mani Pandey, Head (Human Resource) of Hippo stores of Dalmia Group, while informing the newly arrived students about the preparations for the future, said that with the implementation of a useful scheme like start-up, many employment resources are available today.
