Film Screening Event at SMS Varanasi
The Department of Mass Communication at SMS Varanasi proudly hosted its inaugural Film Screening event, and what a remarkable .
We were deeply moved by the documentary "Aankhein," a powerful creation by our BA(Hons) Mass Com- III Sem Students, Vikram Singh and Niharika Dev, shedding light on the challenges and triumphs of those facing blindness.
Equally impactful was the short film "Anokhi," brought to life by the creative minds of BA(Hons)- V Semester students, Pragya Rai and Tanisha Srivastava. Their dedication to portraying stories of resilience is truly commendable.
The films sparked meaningful conversations about the experiences of those with visual impairments.
In addition, we were privileged to showcase three outstanding News Capsules, the result of hard work and dedication from our Mass Communication students.
A special thanks to Mr. Sanjay Gupta, Registrar, SMS Varanasi, for his presence and for inspiring our students with his words of encouragement and awards.
The event was graced by the presence of esteemed faculty members, including Mr. Kartikeya Singh, Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, Prof. Kamalsheel Mishra, Dr. Bhawna Singh, Dr. Sofia Khan, Dr. Ashraya Dubey, Ms. Sripriya Chaudhary, Dr. Shikha Aggarwal, Dr Vishal Singh, Mr. Suraj Prakash Singh, Dr. Anjali Kushwaha, Dr. Gaurav Shah, Dr. Ishan Tripathi, and our dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff.
Dr. Sana Absar expert moderation ensured the event flowed seamlessly, and a heartfelt vote of thanks from Prof. Sandeep Singh, HOD, Department of Mass Communication, concluded the event on a high note.
