On September 30, 2023, our MBA students embarked on an enriching visit to Obeetee Carpet Pvt. Ltd. in Ramnagar, Varanasi. Prof. Amitabh Pandey, Dr. Vishal Kumar Singh, and Dr. Shikha Agrawal masterminded this insightful trip, guided by Dr. Vishal Kumar Singh and Dr. Khushboo Kumar, Faculty at SMS College.
Setting out from campus at 11:00 am, they arrived at the factory at 11:40 am. The mission was clear - to bridge theory with hands-on practice. Students delved into the intricate art of creating high-quality carpets, from design conception to material sourcing, production, and delivery to clients.
The walls adorned with award-winning carpets and their fascinating backstories left a lasting impression. Students gained invaluable insights into every facet of the process, surrounded by machinery and tools.

The objective was crystal clear - to provide a step-by-step understanding of cement industries, identify industrial challenges, and explore placement opportunities.
From grinding clinkers to examining raw materials, students witnessed the intricate process. They learned about the crucial ratios of limestone and clay, explored massive silos for storage, and observed the packing process in action. The exposure to machinery, tools, and a bustling warehouse elevated their learning experience.
