Workshop on "Basics of Photo Journalism" for BA(Hons) Mass Communication Students
SMS Varanasi organized a one-day workshop on "Basics of Photo Journalism" for BA(Hons) Mass Communication students, and it was nothing short of inspiring! We had the honor of welcoming veteran Photo Journalist and Senior Sub Editor of Amar Ujala, Mr. Anirudh Pandey, who shared invaluable insights on the art of capturing powerful images.
Mr. Pandey highlighted the crucial aspects of photojournalism, offering students a deeper understanding of the technical and storytelling side of photography. He wowed the room with internationally acclaimed photographs, sharing the stories and techniques behind each one. The highlight of the day was his documentary "Narkat Ki Rani," which brought students into the world of traditional flute makers – a visual journey that left everyone mesmerized.
Thanks to Dr. Ishan Tripathi, Course Coordinator, for the warm welcome. Kudos to Dr. Gaurav Shah for arranging such a crucial workshop. The vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Sandeep Singh, HoD, Department of Mass Communication. Along with the students, Assistant Professor Dr. Anshuman Rana also graced the occasion.
