Workshop on “Data Analysis Using Excel & SPSS for B. Com, Batch 2023-2026
The School of Management Sciences, Varanasi (an autonomous college), organized a 5-day workshop on “Data Analysis Using Excel & SPSS for the 4th semester students of B. Com, Batch 2023-2026, from 1st April to 5th April 2025 in Lab 6 and Lab 7 at SMS Varanasi.
The workshop was conducted by Mr. Ashish Gupta, Trainer, SEG Academy, Varanasi. The purpose of this workshop is to provide an understanding about the use of SPSS & Excel for data analysis for enhancement of research skills of B.Com graduates.
In this workshop students learned about an introduction to SPSS & Excel, importing data, data management, data transformation, diagrammatic representation of data, basics of hypothesis testing, analysis of variance (ANOVA), chi-square test of independence, simple correlation, and linear regression.
The workshop session was coordinated by Dr. Chandra Shekhar Singh, Course Coordinator of B.Com, and Dr. Santosh Kumar, Course Co- Coordinator B.Com.
