Orientation Program of Undergraduate Courses at SMS
Two days Orientation Programme for BBA, BCA, B.Com. & BA(Hon.) Mass Com. Courses at School of Management Sciences, Varanasi has been inaugurated by Hon’ble VC Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith Prof. T.N. Singh at SMS Varanasi Campus. He congratulated about 500 newly admitted students for taking admission to NAAC “A” Graded Institute SMS Varanasi, an affiliated college of the University. Prof. Singh told students that the nation is surging ahead despite of lot of challenges. The education of technology, management and mass communication helps us to understand these challenges and provide an opportunity to move us into right direction. Further he urged students to face and solve tough problems of the society and provide contribution in nation building process.
Hon`ble VC Prof. Singh also warned students to give up short cuts for success, he added that for hundred percent result merely ‘vision’ and ‘mission’ would not help unless we are indulged into ‘action’. Prof. Singh appreciated SMS, Varanasi for their incredible work in the field of management and technical education. He added that collective growth would lead to individual growth and university is always open to solve the problems of students and the institute.
Earlier, welcoming the guest, Director of SMS Varanasi, Prof. P. N. Jha said that it happens to be a landmark day in the history of SMS as students have come to the inflection point by taking admission in the prestigious courses of the Institute. He said, SMS is a globally sensitive B-School as it has already initiated Values and ethics education in its courses ever since launch. SMS would leave no stone unturned to provide compatible skills to its students, he commented. He highlighted that the quality placement of SMS Varanasi are indicator of quality teaching and learning atmosphere in the institute.
Later Dr. Avinash Chandra Supkar presented the Preamble of SMS while Prof. Sandeep Singh brought forward the importance and scope of professional education. Dr. Pallavi Pathak coordinated the inaugural session. Vote of Thanks was proposed by Prof. R.K. Singh.
On this occasion, Executive secretary Dr. M. P. Singh, Registrar Mr. Sanjay Gupta, Coordinator of BBA programme Shri Amitabh Pandey, BCA Coordinator Shri Anand Dubey, B.Com. Coordinator Shri Atish Khadse and other faculty members were also present.
