Interesting Way to learn periodic table by using Hindi Mnemonics
Are you a Science Stream Student, then you would know very well what a periodic table is! A periodic table provides the names, atomic numbers, atomic weights, and symbols of the known earth elements. It is an excellent tool for solving several problems with Chemistry.
The Periodic Table provides the atomic numbers, names, symbols, and atomic weights of known elements. It contains an excellent tool for solving chemistry problems. A periodic table is divided into groups (columns), where elements behave like bonding with other features; and periods (rows), where details in one period contain the same number of electron shells.
The whole periodic table is divided into four blocks s, p, d, and f block. The block names are derived from the spectroscopic notation for the associated atomic orbitals: sharp, principal, diffuse and fundamental.
The periodic table is handy, however, to remember the sequence and position of an element it is an exciting and tedious task. To make learning easy here, we will tell you some fascinating and humorous ways to memorize details along with each group or period by using Hindi mnemonics.
To the science students who have always been in trouble in remembering the periodic table, you have literally come to the right place!
This blog will make you learn the periodic table by using the Hindi mnemonics. For all those students out there, who are not aware about what a mnemonic is, it is basically a song, rhythm, or a few little words that we built up on our own to learn a particular thing.
You see, when we face a problem regarding learning something, these are the possible happenings:
- we either convert it into a song
- we learn the short forms of the same
- we relate the words of our mother tongue and cook something up
- Or we just skip it
Now, its an obvious that being a chemistry student, you can’t skip the periodic table so to learn the same in an easier way, you can follow the mentioned Hindi mnemonics we have jotted down below. These Hindi mnemonics can be helpful for all those students out there who feel more comfortable in remembering something in Hindi.
We humans cannot remember everything due to which we create notes, short cuts, and etc. So, here’s a way to remember the periodic table in Hindi:
Before we start, some key points you have to keep in mind while reading Hindi mnemonics:
- The first bold letter in each word denotes the symbol in the sentences, but at the places where the complete character could not be included, another letter or symbol is shown in brackets. When you are reading the sentences, you have to ignore messages in the frame.
- The symbols of elements in sentences are arranged in the same order as they occur in a group or period.
- To make the sentences easier to remember, at some places, phonetics has been used to denote symbols such as ‘c’ could be replaced by ‘k,’ ’g’ with ‘j,’ ‘I’ with ‘ea’ and ‘o’ with ‘u.’

D- Block Elements:
D- Block consist, element group, 3 to 12. These are those elements occupying their valence electrons in d-orbitals, it is a second outermost shell. Group 3 to11 are transitional elements, and fully filled d-subshell elements in group 12 are known as post-transition elements. For learning purpose, we go period wise and not group wise for d-block elements.
These elements are found in earth’s crust or/and core and are highly stable elements. It includes Scandium (Sc), Titanium (Ti), Vanadium (V), Chromium (Cr), Manganese (Mn), Iron (Fe), Cobalt (Co), Nickel (Ni), Copper (Cu) and Zinc (Zn).
