    Bachelor In Computer Applications is an apposite course for a student who wants to venture into the world of computers. This three-year degree course provides a strong base for a career in Computer Applications. It is a technical concept based course which focuses on topics like C++, JAVA, HTML and Computer Basics. A student is taught about Database Management as well as Administration.

    While one can work in the IT sector as a System Engineer or a Software Developer, there are plenty of other options a student can choose from. Below are some of the various options available after BCA

    Higher Studies

    Students who are not keen on diving into the job sector can opt for a higher degree course. After completing your BCA, you can choose any of the following courses :

    MCA – Master of Computer Applications

    MCA is a three-year academic course.  The course is divided into six semesters with a duration of six months each.     ▪ MIM – Masters Degree in Information Management

    MIM is a  degree program which provides studies in Strategic Information Management, knowledge management, usability, Business Administration, Information Systems, Information Architecture, Computer Sciences, Policy, Ethics, and Project Management. This degree addresses the growing need for information professionals who understand the complex multiple organizational issues.

    ▪ MCM – Masters In Computer Management

    MCM is a Post Graduate degree course in Computer and Management. The course offers students the learning of basic skills for management of computers. It covers all the subjects of Computer as well as Management. One is equipped with the necessary skills to manage a computer network and to manage projects. The necessary commercial and mathematical topics are also covered.

    ▪ PGPCS – Post Graduate Program in Corporate Studies

    PGPCS is a 22 months program with dual specialisation which is covered in four terms. The course is covered through lectures, case studies, role-plays, presentations and self-study. The students are provided extensive inputs in soft skills, communication skills, GD for personality development.

    There are various job vacancies for a BCA graduate in the government sector as well. If you are willing to work in the public sector, you have the following options :
