ELEVATE – Enhancing Leadership, Effectiveness, Vision and Attitude for Tomorrows Executives for M.Com & MCA students
The journey of self-discovery and leadership excellence for M.Com & MCA students of SMS Varanasi began today with the highly impactful programme “ELEVATE” – Enhancing Leadership, Effectiveness, Vision and Attitude for Tomorrows Executives.
The inaugural session was graced by none other than Mr. Prince Grover, Director, Second Wind Foundry, an inspiring corporate leader and transformational coach.
In his opening address, Mr. Grover challenged students to think beyond textbooks and classrooms: "Leadership is not a designation—it is a mindset. If you can influence, inspire, and innovate, you are already a leader. The world doesn’t need managers who only follow rules, it needs visionaries who can create new ones."
Through a series of engaging activities, Mr. Grover unfolded the essence of adaptive leadership, decision-making under pressure, and the art of leading with empathy. Students participated in “Vision Mapping Exercises”, where they were asked to imagine themselves as CEOs of a start-up five years from now, drafting quick strategies to overcome hypothetical crises. The room echoed with ideas, passion, and fresh perspectives.
At one point, Mr. Grover inspired students with these powerful words: "Failures are not roadblocks, they are redirections. If you stumble, stumble forward, but never stop moving. Your attitude decides whether you remain ordinary or become extraordinary."
The interactive session also included role-play simulations, where students enacted boardroom discussions, balancing creativity with pragmatism. The energy of the session made it clear — ELEVATE is not just a programme, but a leadership laboratory where tomorrow’s executives are being shaped today.
The day concluded with reflections from participants, many of whom shared how the session sparked a renewed confidence and clarity about their professional journey.
