The BBA – I Semester students of SMS Varanasi stepped into the world of dairy excellence with an Industry Visit to Parag Dairy, Varanasi on 23rd & 24th September 2025. On 23rd Sept, Group A explored under the expert guidance of Dr. Mahendra Kumar Sharma & Dr. Ragi T.S.On 24th Sept, Group B continued their journey under the supervision of Mr. Sushil Kumar & Mr. Himanshu Upadhyay.From milk collection to chilling, pasteurization, standardization, packaging, and distribution – students witnessed the real-time journey of milk.Key Learnings Included :Dairy supply chain & quality controlHygiene & technology in food processing Cooperative models empowering farmersThe role of branding in consumer trustThe visit was more than an industrial exposure – it was an eye-opener on how a single drop of milk connects farmers, industries, and millions of households every day.A big thanks to the Parag Dairy officials for their warm hospitality and invaluable insights that turned this visit into a memorable learning experience.

The BBA – I Semester students of SMS Varanasi added sweetness to their academic journey with an insightful Industry Visit to Parle-G, Varanasi on 23rd & 24th September 2025 – the iconic brand that has been a part of every Indian household for generations. Group A (23rd Sept) was guided by Dr. Sofia Khan & Mr. Chandra Prakash Aggarwal, whileGroup B (24th Sept) was led by Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh & Dr. Khushboo Kumar.From the aroma of freshly baked biscuits to the fascinating conveyor belts of automated packaging, our young learners witnessed:The science & art of food processingPackaging & branding precisionHygiene, quality control & sustainability practicesThe global journey of a humble biscuit that connects hearts across bordersMore than just a factory tour, it was a lesson in brand legacy, consumer trust, and the magic of turning simple ingredients into an empire of happiness. The Department of Commerce & Management, SMS Varanasi, organized an insightful Industry Visit for M.Com. I Semester and BBA I Semester students on 23rd September & 24th September 2025 to Banas Dairy, Amul Ahrora, Varanasi – the proud face of “Amul – The Taste of India”.On 23rd the students were guided by Dr. Anju Singh (Coordinator, M.Com.) and Dr. Rohit Singh (Assistant Professor), while on 24th the supervision was given by Dr. Anjanee Rai & Mr. Anurag Sahu our students explored the real-time journey of milk – from collection to pasteurization, standardization, chilling, packaging, and distribution. The exposure went beyond processes; it opened doors to cooperative models, supply chain dynamics, quality control, and the role of technology in ensuring hygiene & efficiency.More than just dairy, the visit reflected how Amul’s cooperative spirit empowers rural India, strengthens the economy, and sets an example of community-driven entrepreneurship.
